Power engineer, founder and CEO of Teploenergoexpert LLC, a registered international APEC Engineer in Electrical Engineering and holder of the Professional Engineer certificate of the National Chamber of Engineers of the Russian Federation. The company specializes in the design, testing and diagnostics of electrical installations, inspection of power supply systems, electrical safety assurance and energy audits. Since 2012, more than 1,300 energy-saving and energy-efficiency projects have been delivered under Bogatyrev’s leadership. He previously served as Lead Engineer of the Central Relay Protection and Automation Service at PJSC MOEK and as Senior Energy Auditor at Promexpertiza LLC.

Since 2025, Alexey Bogatyrev has served on the APEC Engineer Certification and Assessment Commission of the Russian Federation. He is a member of the editorial councils and editorial boards of professional engineering periodicals, including Electrical Equipment: Operation and Repair; Operational Management in the Electric Power Industry: Personnel Training and Qualification Maintenance; Engineering and Technology: Theory and Practice; and the scholarly journal Smart World Journal.

Author of scientific and technical publications and developments in variable-frequency drives, integration of wind power plants into electrical grids, loss accounting in systems with distributed generation, and energy consumption optimization using neural networks.
