Membership remains in good standing when the required payment is made within 30 days of the due date. When the outstanding balance is not paid within 60 days after formal notice, membership is automatically suspended or terminated through an administrative procedure. This is an administrative measure, not a disciplinary sanction. Membership may be reinstated after: payment of the outstanding balance, payment of the applicable reinstatement fee.

The application is submitted through the official IAE portal. The procedure then includes: documentary verification by the Secretariat, for CIE applications, independent assessment by two reviewers using the published Criteria Matrix, collegial voting, preparation of a written reasoned decision, notification of the applicant. The complete process normally takes approximately 30 days from the date on which the full set of required documents is received. When the application package is incomplete, the timeframe is extended for the period required to obtain the missing materials.

IAE competency standards have been developed with reference to: the descriptors of EQF Level 7, the principles of ISO/IEC 17024. These frameworks serve as an internal quality benchmark comparable with leading international standards. IAE does not claim formal accreditation under either framework.

No. F.IAE status is awarded only through election by the Council in recognition of documented extraordinary achievements. It cannot be: requested, purchased, expedited. There are no paid fast-track procedures. This restriction is precisely what gives the status its value.

IAE has four levels of professional recognition. Senior Member — SMAn application-based category involving documentary verification. During the Association’s initial development stage, a simplified admission procedure is available without the requirement for two recommendations. Certified International Expert — CIEA multi-stage credentialing category involving independent peer review. Fellow of the Association — F.IAEThe Association’s highest elective membership category, awarded for extraordinary professional achievements. It cannot be purchased or requested. Professor of the Association, h.c. — Prof.IAE, h.c.An honorary honoris causa designation available to F.IAE members who: have held Fellow status for at least five years, have mentored at least ten IAE-certified professionals.

The authenticity and current validity of a certificate may be checked within seconds by: a court, an arbitral tribunal, a government authority, an employer, a client. No. IAE is a standards and registry organization, not a recruitment agency. The Association does not: select experts for individual cases, recommend particular professionals, receive referral commissions. Users independently identify a professional through the public Registry and verify the person’s status within seconds. At a member’s request, IAE may issue an official letter confirming that member’s current status.

Use the public verification portal. Verification is: free of charge, available to any person, available without registration. You can search using: the member’s name, their registration ID, the QR code on their certificate. The Registry record displays: membership category, specialization, credentialing date, current status.

A Certificate of Contribution (COC) records: the date on which material was submitted to the IAE-IPR Registry, the professional recognition received following independent collegial review. It is a document of recognition by the professional community. It supplements, but does not replace: patent protection, copyright protection.
