Areas of Activity

Four interconnected programs forming a complete cycle of international professional recognition.
Membership
International Certification
Two membership levels. Senior Member confirms established professional experience. An expedited admission procedure is available to the first applicants and is based on enhanced document verification. Certified International Expert involves a multi-stage peer-review assessment followed by a collegial decision.
IAE competency standards have been developed with reference to leading international frameworks, including EQF Level 7 and ISO/IEC 17024.
Publications
IAE Academic Journal
A peer-reviewed international online publication.
Articles are published as soon as they are ready, without waiting for a scheduled issue. The journal provides rigorous independent peer review and open access.
Each article receives a permanent citation link. DOI registration through Crossref is currently being implemented.
Authorship is linked to the author’s verified profile in the IAE Registry.
Certification
Certification Council
An independent collegial body responsible for professional certification and discipline. Each application undergoes two independent reviews, and every decision is accompanied by written reasoning. There are no quotas or sales targets. Decisions are based exclusively on the substance of each application. The eligibility criteria for Council members are publicly available.
Recognition
International Awards
The annual global IAE Distinguished Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the advancement of a profession. The award includes five categories, including the Grand Prix. The inaugural awards season will take place in 2026: nominations will be accepted from September 1 to October 31, award recipients will be announced in December.
Expert Registry
The public IAE Registry of certified experts is a single, authoritative source for status verification. Each member’s category, specialization, certification date, and current status are available worldwide to courts, companies, professional peers, and clients. Verification is free, requires no registration, and takes only a few seconds. The Registry exists to promote transparency, not to act as an intermediary. The selection of an expert always remains your responsibility. IAE guarantees one thing: the accuracy of the selected professional’s status, confirmed through collegial certification.
Current status and membership category: SM, CIE, F.IAE, or Prof.IAE h.c.

Registry Areas of Expertise
IAE-IPR Methodology Registry
Record the date of your development and gain professional recognition from your peers. The IAE-IPR registry is an immutable timestamp at the time of submission and an independent peer review by three experts in your field. Upon completion, you receive a Certificate of Contribution with QR verification: a document of professional recognition that complements—but does not replace—patent and copyright protection.
Preliminary Assessment
The submitted documentation is reviewed, including:
  • The methodology description
  • Development history
  • Implementation records
  • Related publications
A specialist review panel is then appointed.
Collegial Review
Three independent reviewers prepare formal opinions containing quantitative scores based on a standardized Criteria Matrix.
Certificate of Contribution
The final document includes QR verification.
It records the date on which the development was submitted and confirms its professional recognition following collegial review.
IAE Honorary Statuses
IAE honorary statuses are awarded exclusively by decision of the Council in recognition of an outstanding contribution supported by documentary evidence. They cannot be purchased, requested, or expedited. That is precisely what makes them valuable.
Fellow of the Association
F.IAE is the Association’s highest elective membership category. It recognizes an overall professional contribution that has received broad national or international recognition.
Candidates are assessed according to a published Criteria Matrix, which considers:

  • National or international professional awards
  • Significant publications and citations in peer-reviewed journals
  • Recognition by courts and arbitration tribunals
  • Other objective evidence of an extraordinary professional contribution
Professor of the Association
An honorary designation recognizing a longstanding mentoring contribution to the advancement of the profession.
Mandatory requirements include:

  • Continuous F.IAE status for at least five years
  • Documented mentorship of at least ten IAE professionals
  • No disciplinary sanctions during the entire membership period
  • A recognized contribution to the development of professional standards
IAE Academic Journal
IAE Review is a next-generation peer-reviewed online publication.
Articles are published immediately after the review process is complete, without waiting for a scheduled issue.
Each submission is evaluated by two independent reviewers.
The journal provides open access and permanent citation links. DOI registration through Crossref is currently being implemented.
    Have Questions? We Have Answers.
The complete list is available on the FAQ page. If your question is not covered, please contact the IAE Secretariat directly.
CIE is a certification category awarded following a multi-stage, application-based peer-review process. F.IAE is the highest elective membership category and recognizes an outstanding professional contribution. It is awarded exclusively by decision of the Council and cannot be purchased or requested. Prof.IAE, h.c. is an honorary designation available to F.IAE members who have held that status for at least five years and have mentored ten or more professionals.
What Is the Difference Between CIE, F.IAE, and Prof.IAE, h.c.?
IAE is a standards and registry organization, not a recruitment agency. We do not select experts for individual cases and do not charge placement commissions. You independently select a professional using the public Registry and the listed areas of specialization. You can then verify the expert’s current status within seconds. At the request of an Association member, IAE may issue an official letter confirming that member’s status.
Does IAE Provide Lists of Experts or Recommend Experts for Specific Cases?
IAE documents are certificates issued by an independent international professional association.
Their primary value lies in immediate verifiability. A court, government authority, employer, or client can confirm the authenticity and current status of any certificate within seconds through the public Registry. The relevance and evidentiary weight of a document in a particular matter are determined by the authority reviewing that matter.
What Is the Legal Status of IAE Documents?
IAE competency standards have been developed with reference to EQF Level 7 descriptors and the principles of ISO/IEC 17024. These frameworks serve as an internal quality benchmark for the Association and make its standards comparable with leading international frameworks. IAE does not claim formal accreditation under either system.
Do IAE Statuses Correspond to EQF Level 7 or ISO/IEC 17024?
Certification follows a single transparent procedure: The Secretariat verifies the submitted documents. CIE applications are independently assessed by two reviewers using the published Criteria Matrix. A collegial vote is conducted. A written reasoned decision is prepared. The applicant is formally notified. The full certification cycle takes approximately 30 days from the date on which the complete set of required documents is received.
