The timeframes for each stage are indicative. They are suspended when submitted materials are incomplete or additional verification is required. The receipt timestamp is recorded independently of the final outcome of the application.
Submission of the Application
The applicant completes the form on the official IAE portal. Required fields include: title of the methodology, brief description of no more than 500 words, public or confidential submission mode, confirmation of acceptance of the IAE-IPR Terms, confirmation of the applicant’s authorship representations. Substantive files, including technical documentation and source code, may be attached voluntarily and are not published.

At the moment the application is received, the system: assigns a unique registration number, records the date and time of submission in UTC to the nearest second. This timestamp cannot be altered and is used in the COC.
The Secretariat verifies: whether the applicant is eligible to submit based on current IAE membership, whether all required fields have been completed, whether the material contains clearly prohibited content. IAE does not verify: originality, authorship, whether the material corresponds to the description provided by the applicant.
Independent Collegial Peer Review
Indicative Timeframe · 14–21 Days
Three independent reviewers specializing in the relevant field assess the material using a standardized Criteria Matrix covering: completeness of documentation, reproducibility, practical applicability, practical testing and professional response, compliance with professional standards. Peer review does not establish the originality, authorship, or legal priority of the material.
A reviewer with a conflict of interest must recuse themselves.
Collegial Decision and Issuance of the COC

The decision concerning internal professional recognition is made by a collegial body: the Superior Credentialing Council, until that Council is established, the Board of Directors. Following a positive decision: the record is entered in the IAE-IPR Registry under the selected submission mode, the applicant receives a digital Certificate of Contribution, the COC includes a unique verification URL and QR code. Following a negative decision: the applicant receives a reasoned opinion, additional materials may be submitted within 14 days, a new application may be submitted no earlier than six months later. Negative decisions are not published. The fact and date of receipt of the material remain in IAE’s internal records.
Public records may be verified by third parties through the IAE verification portal using: the unique COC number, the verification URL, the QR code. Confidential records can be verified only when the applicant provides the COC number.
