Two categories are available by application. F.IAE and Prof.IAE, h.c. are awarded exclusively by decision of the Council—they cannot be purchased or requested.

- An honorary designation awarded honoris causa in recognition of a mentoring contribution to the profession

The complete cycle takes approximately 30 days from the date on which the full set of required documents is received. When documentation is incomplete, the timeframe is extended for the period required to obtain the missing materials. Every decision is issued in writing and includes supporting reasons.

Application Submission
Complete the application form and upload the required documents, CV, and portfolio.

Documentary Assessment
The Secretariat verifies: whether the application package is complete, the authenticity of the submitted documents, the applicant’s compliance with the requirements of the requested status

Independent Peer Review
Two Council experts independently assess the applicant’s achievements using the published Criteria Matrix. The reviewers prepare their conclusions independently and do not influence each other’s assessments.

Collegial Vote
The Council conducts a collegial vote and issues a written reasoned decision. When the application is approved, the applicant receives a certificate containing a unique QR code.
What Do You Receiveas an IAE Member?
Verifiable Status
A personal entry in the IAE Registry with a unique QR code. Any interested party—including courts, government authorities, employers, academic institutions, and clients—can verify the member’s status through the public portal. Verification is free and does not require registration.
IAE-IPR Registry
Original methodologies may be deposited in the Registry and subjected to an independent collegial assessment. Successful applicants receive a Certificate of Contribution, which records: the date on which the methodology was submitted, its professional recognition by independent peers, the certificate supplements available patent and copyright protection. IAE is a standards and registry organization, not a recruitment agency.

IAE Distinguished Awards
An annual international awards program recognizing outstanding contributions to the advancement of a profession. Award recipients are recorded in the global Registry and receive official certificates issued by the Council.
Post-Nominal Designations
Current members may use the official SM, CIE, F.IAE, and Prof.IAE, h.c. designations in accordance with the IAE Membership Guide. The designations may be used worldwide in: professional signatures, CVs and résumés, publications, professional profiles.
IAE Review Academic Journal
Members may publish their work in the peer-reviewed online journal IAE Review.
Articles are published immediately after completion of peer review, without waiting for a scheduled issue. DOI registration through Crossref is currently being implemented.

IAE Global Register
Each member receives a public Registry entry displaying their specialization in a standardized format. The Registry was created to ensure transparency, not to provide intermediary or recruitment services. The selection of an expert always remains the client’s responsibility.

Certified International Expert is a certification category requiring: documentary assessment, independent review by two experts, collegial voting, a written reasoned decision. Outstanding professional achievements are required for the Association’s highest category, F.IAE.

What Is the Difference Between Senior Member and Certified International Expert?
CIE is a certification category available by application. F.IAE is the Association’s highest form of membership and is awarded by the Council in recognition of a longstanding professional contribution. Prof.IAE, h.c. is an honorary title initiated exclusively by the Council. Individual applications are not accepted.
What Is the Difference Between CIE, F.IAE, and Prof.IAE, h.c.?
Every IAE member receives a certificate containing a unique URL and QR code. Any interested party—including a court, government authority, employer, or client—can verify the member’s status within seconds through the public portal. Verification is free and does not require registration. The relevance and evidentiary weight of the certificate in a particular matter are determined by the authority reviewing that matter.
How Can a Third Party Verify an IAE Member’s Status?
CIE competency standards have been developed with reference to the descriptors of EQF Level 7 and the principles of ISO/IEC 17024. These frameworks serve as the Association’s internal quality benchmark and make its standards comparable with leading international frameworks. IAE does not claim formal accreditation under either system.
No. F.IAE and Prof.IAE, h.c. are awarded exclusively by decision of the Council in recognition of an outstanding contribution supported by documentary evidence. They cannot be purchased or requested, which is precisely what gives these statuses their value. Individual applications are not accepted.
