Apply for IAE Membership
The Senior Member and Certified International Expert categories are available through an application. Every application follows a uniform collegial procedure. Decisions are made solely on the merits of the applicant’s achievements and are issued in writing with supporting reasons. F.IAE and Prof.IAE, h.c. are conferred exclusively through election by the Council.
  • Normally provided within 1–3 business days.

  • The right to use official IAE post-nominals in professional signatures, CVs, and profiles
What Membership Provides?

  • Evidence of professional experience, including opinions, reports, certificates, and institutional letters

  • Recommendations from two current IAE members—or the simplified procedure available to the first applicants
What Should You Prepare?

Documentary Review. The Secretariat verifies whether the application package is complete and whether the applicant meets the applicable criteria.

Independent Peer Review. For CIE applications, two Council experts review the materials independently and do not influence one another’s assessments.

Collegial Vote. A written decision is adopted through collegial voting and includes the reasons supporting the outcome.

Notification of the Applicant. The decision is communicated to the applicant in writing.
The complete cycle normally takes approximately 30 days. A request for missing documents extends the review period.

For professionals with documented experience in a recognized field. The standard requirements include support from two current IAE members. The first applicants may use a simplified procedure based on enhanced documentary verification.
Senior Member
SM
A multi-stage credentialing procedure involving: documentary assessment, independent review by two experts, collegial voting. The competency standards have been developed with reference to the international EQF Level 7 framework and the principles of ISO/IEC 17024.
Certified International Expert
CIE
SM and CIE are awarded upon application. F.IAE and Prof.IAE, h.c. - only by election of the Council; personal submission is not provided.
Upload supporting materials. A complete documentation package helps avoid delays. When additional documents are requested, the review period is extended.
