About the Expert
Researcher in innovation management, entrepreneurship, and international business with an academic and professional career spanning China, Hong Kong, Russia, and the United States. She holds a PhD in Innovation Management from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing); her dissertation examined how networks affect the performance of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, drawing on evidence from Zhongguancun (China) and Silicon Valley (USA). She received her engineering education at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
She taught at Shenzhen University (courses: Leadership and Communication, Intercultural Business Communication, Human Resource Management), completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Shantou University Business School, and worked as a research associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on a project focused on developing a global innovation and technology hub in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. At Skoltech, she coordinated the MIT–Skoltech strategic development program with a budget exceeding $1 million; she also co-founded the biotech startup Primerlife, which raised $150,000 in pre-seed investment. She is the author of more than ten publications in SSCI/SCI journals, including Technology in Society (Q1), and a recipient of the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper.
